In the heart of the enchanting village of Sistelo, and very close to its most prominent element, the so called ´Castle of Sistelo´, a revivalist palace dating from the nineteenth century, we find Casa da Avó.
Casa da Avó, now fully restored, provides its guests with all comfort and convenience they deserve. Casa da Avó is one of the largest houses of the village and has been divided into two independent homes to better serve and accommodate its guests: Casa da Avó 1 and 2.
Its privileged location allows us to contemplate an astonishing view over the River Vez from its covered terrace with barbecue that will also invite you to spend long evenings appreciating the charms of nature.
Sistelo is famous for its ´socalcos´, which arose by the need to increase the agricultural area and to counter the slopes.
Those are flat platforms with deep and fertile soil, built on the slopes of the mountains overlapping each other and supported by great stone walls. This set of outstanding nature invites you to spend a short holiday in total tranquillity.
